Update! The folks at Budgetable put together an infographic based on our list below. Thanks, guys!

Who To Meet At FINCON11

A couple of potential sponsors have expressed interest in learning more about the conference attendees. We have 114 attendees signed up so far, with spots for at least 35 more 250 people signed up. But it’s not just bloggers who are coming. They are bringing their virtual audiences with them.

Most of the attendees are personal finance bloggers from across the U.S. and Canada with a targeted and growing audience. They each have RSS and email subscribers as well as Twitter followers.

To give you some perspective, I quickly put together this table which shows just a snapshot of the audiences of the bloggers that will be attending this conference:

As you can see, collectively we will have over 700K subscribers and over 200K twitter followers represented at the Financial Blogger Conference.

This data was largely collected from Wise Bread’s Top 100+ Personal Finance Blogs, and from Money Crasher’s Top Personal Finance Blogs (which contains 446 blogs). My snapshot only included blogs from the first 200 on their list.

Therefore, we can roughly say that we have…

  • over 25% of the entire personal finance blog-o-sphere, and
  • we have over 25% of the top 200 blogs personal finance blogs in the blog-o-sphere

…attending this conference. Looks like it’s the place to be.

It's decent list of bloggers on there. I am familiar with a few of them. It would be great to finally meet some of them in person.

Was wondering why I wasn't showing in the table til I kept on reading. So, hey, uhh.... I'll bring my little audience there too! :-D

If any potential sponsors have doubts after looking at that table, they're just missing out! It's so exciting to think about all the bloggers that are coming. I know it will be an amazing experience for the newbies like me. :)

That's an impressive list -- it's funny, I was thinking the other day how I have so few hobbies, but the one thing that I've been really passionate about for the past 5 years or so is personal finance blogging. While I haven't always been the best in keeping up with my blog (hence why I'm not on this list yet!) I've been following many of these writers for years. I'm going to be totally star?-struck at this conference... that is, if I can figure out who everyone is.
